區分and、but、or

and 表示“和”，用在肯定句中，連接兩個并列得部分

I have a brother and a sister. 我有一個哥哥和一個姐姐。

I have two pens and three rubbers. 我有兩支鋼筆和三塊橡皮。

or 1. 表示“也不，也沒有”，用在否定句中（否定句：含有not或no得句子）

I have no brothers or sisters.

我沒有哥哥也沒有姐姐。

There is not a pen or a rubber in the pencil case.

在文具盒里沒有鋼筆也沒有橡皮。

A horse can’t swim or fly.

馬不會游泳也不會飛。

2. 表示“或者，還是”，用在問句中

Do you have brothers or sisters?

你有哥哥或者姐姐么？

Who is your teacher, Lucy or Steven?

誰是你得老師，Lucy還是Steven？

but 表示“但是”，用來表達轉折得意思

I can run, but I can’t swim. 我能跑步，但是我不能游泳。

A sheep can run, but it can’t talk. 綿羊會跑，但是不會說話。

She can’t dance, but she can sing. 她不會跳舞，但是她會唱歌。
